Damn Multiplayer is more addictive than Strawberry Icecream : MP Report

Comanche Hokum Multiplayer Report with LeapingMouse and Rabies Note: Single Player is just as Fun as Multiplayer so for all those that don't yet have EECH yet don't worry Razorworks didn't compromise on the Single Player aspect at all. Ok after much faffing about I got to get 2 MP games this time that worked without a hitch.

Leaping Mouse

They where with Leaping Mouse and Rabies, the first games we used the voice comms program Teamsound, the 2nd Roger Wilco. The game with Leaping mouse was Lebanon No5 (I think) anyway we where Russian REDS, flying either Hokum's or Havocs. The main enemy Emplacement's were in the south around Beirut, one of the biggest towns in EECH. Our 1st flight were made up of 2 Hokum's and 2 Havocs. We took the Hokum's. Performance was great considering both our lowly modems. Anyway a town like Beirut kind of has a lot of defenses and boy did it. I got shot up pretty quick and I think LeapingMouse did and swapped helicopters. We did take out quite a few enemy SAM's and Tank's. Anyway Leapingmouse took another Hokum and used the hills nearby to attack some enemy armour.

There we go our 1st flight, excited , nervous thinking of our girls back home.

Lets get down to it in Beirut, LeapingMouse is high up in those mountains.

Where they going?

Told you he was up there in the mountains.

As soon as he starting attacking them they drove off down the highway at full speed. He also got 2 Blackhawks on route, I managed to watch all the action from his view, their view and the map. That's the great thing about MP EECH is that you can go watch your wingman take them on, or view from the opponents position. He also managed to take out a passing F16.

Better get your brolley it's going to get wet, he has some blackhawks in his view.

You can run but you can't hide.

Anyway on his return home he was out of weapons and damaged, he called over teamsound for the nearest FARP or Airbase the nearest one was still over 10km away. There was a dirty airstrip not used by Helo's that he was near to. So he decided to put down there , Leaping mouse will most probably be the last Helicopter they allow to land there after the wreckage he left.

This is not a Helicopter Base, go away.

The final mission of the day was in our friend the Havoc. It was a recon of some transmitter on the outskirts of Beirut, LeapingMouse modified the waypoints so we would approach over buildings with limited exposure to SAM's etc. Anyway the plan was going well until someone fired at us with his MG at about 3.5km from target.

The Power cable repair team sure get some fancy hardware.

I was never any good at keeping in formation.

This led to a wild ride thru the streets of Beirut take recon of the transmitter, destroying it with rockets, flying 20 ft above the ground, using the buildings to break the SAM's LOS, firing as you fly past office buildings. I must say sorry to all the workers in the office block I destroyed, I was firing at a SAM unit and my missile kind of clipped the top of a office block, taking about 10 floors out of it, again sorry wont happen again.

I better not get a ticket, this is only a 30mph zone.

Anyway I had to bail out of Beirut I got tons of targets but Eventually they had damaged me enough for me to know to head back. Anyway some missile from a carrier in the Med (USS Saipan, I will remember to pay u a visit) got me just as I thought I was safe.

Now that something you don't see everyday out your office window.

You fire at me, i'll fire at you.

Whoops engine at 120%

Those DEA agents in Beirut don't muck about.

Ok what do we have, im in a helicopter where the rotors have stopped and im over the sea, what are my chances?

Grrr at least now I tend not to crash without help but more of an enemy assisted landing is usually the reason for me not bringing the chopper back to base. Leaping Mouse made it out of that death zone all right. Even though we lost about 8 helicopters, we did tons of damage to the enemy. On the 1st mission, leapingmouse got about 4 air units, 10 Sam's 1 fuel truck, some tanks and more. Also I was checking the amount of Flyable helicopters for RED before the last mission we had 11 hokum's and 3 havocs by the end of it, we had 11 hokum's and 5 havocs, so we were getting resupplied quicker than we put them out of action. Which on past records the average life span of a helicopter in MP is about 10 minutes. While we where on route on the final mission we where viewing some nutty KA-50 pilot who was in the middle of Beirut attacking a carrier, (this one is not far of shore) he was dodging in between the buildings, the docks, we both wanted the crazy little mucker to come on home, get a medal and a straight jacket but he bought the farm. Leapingmouse saved the skirmish.

Man you just some crazy doofus who needs spanking, you in the middle of an enemy town by yourself attacking a carrier.

Rabies

The last game I had with was with Rabies This time we were in Yemen, the 1st mission went without a hitch to attack a FARP, I don't know it could of been recon but huh when you got weapons you gotta use them. The enemy resistance was low and we took out various Helicopters on the plates and proceeded to attack these units over a ridge a couple of clicks away. They never really engaged us but I had trouble maintaining a valid lock, as the bobbing and weaving off my helo would sometimes put the ridge between the target and me. Later on we started Yemen Skirmish No1, I particularly like this Skirmish it's good for Short games and is very intense. This mission we started at the FARP in the north and I got wasted pretty darn quick, so Rabies was out there by himself so I jumped into an Apache flight leaving the same FARP we then proceeded to clear up the enemy, destroying the power station and rearming and refueling and going out for more. I got down by an Infantryman with SAM , just as I was about to warn Rabies about these pesky guys he fell the same fate.

I just love the retro styling of the Apache cockpit, so 1980's

Hey Rabies that was my spot where the hell am I meant to park?

Damm it's 12:08 on the clock and ive missed my favorite TV program!
